On November 1, we were excited to officially launch a new partnership with Chickie’s & Pete’s, a popular Philadelphia-based crab house and sports bar recognized by ESPN as one of the top sports bars in North America! For the partnership, Brian collaborated on the new “B DAWK IMPACT BURGER”, which will see $5.00 from every burger sold donated to the Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation to support our work.

The tasty creation features Primal Supply grass-fed burger seasoned with jerk spices, provolone cheese, Caribbean spiced pineapple sauce, jalapeño chimichurri, and topped with a fried egg and arugula – a combination which Brian noted will “hit you in the face with flavor!” In addition, $1 from the sale of selected Weapon Xtras – lobster tail, crab cake or cold shrimp – will also be donated to the Foundation. The burger will be on sale at all local, full service locations through February 2022.

“The opportunity to add this fantastic new taste creation to our burger menu and at the same time provide help to those in need is inspiring to all of us at Chickie’s and Pete’s,” said founder Pete Ciarrocchi.

Brian and Pete hosted a lively media day to share about the collaboration and discuss the Foundation’s initiatives. The Chickie’s Crabfries Express food truck traveled alongside throughout the day dishing out the featured burger and fries to eager tasters.

“I’m proud to partner up with Pete and his outstanding team and appreciative of the financial support that this collaboration on The B DAWK IMPACT BURGER will bring to the Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation’s efforts,” stated Brian. I’m looking forward to working together to bless as many youth, families and communities as we can in Philadelphia and beyond.”

Following the morning’s events, we then traveled to George Washington High School in Northeast Philadelphia, one of the newest schools to sign up for the Brian Dawkins Values Program’s online “Owning Your Cerebral Wellness” course, created in partnership with EVERFI. There, Brian had the opportunity to speak with and answer questions from the nearly 100 students and administrators about his experiences and provide advice and inspiration.

Assistant Principal, Tony Pitsakis, shared that it was one of the students – Joel Muniz – who inspired him to reach out to the Foundation to bring the course to his school after a discussion about the importance of mental health.

He noted, “seeing the looks on the faces of our students today when Brian was speaking to them, when they realized that their greatness has been there the whole time, you knew that these young people were inspired.”

We were also moved by Joel who stated, “listening to Brian Dawkins talk to us today, really made me think that even though I may be going through some stuff, I can – and will be – OK in the end.”

After the talk, of course, Chickie’s & Pete’s was on hand to serve some lunch to the hungry students. Brian even got in the truck to serve a few lucky ones.

The packed day ended at Chickie’s & Pete’s South Philly which hosted a sold out booking signing for Brian’s new memoir, “Blessed By the Best: My Journey to Canton and Beyond.” 50% of net proceeds received by Brian from sales will be pledged to the Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation.

It was truly a wonderful day and we are hugely grateful to the entire Chickie’s & Pete’s team. We’d also like to give an extra special shout out to Roger Falloon, Tracie Kurtz and Mike Baldini for going above and beyond to make the day and partnership a success!
