Hundreds join Brian Dawkins Impact Foundation fundraiser

Early this summer approximately 165 current and former NFL, MLB, NHL players, local sportscasters, friends and family participated in the Brian Dawkins Driving Impact Celebrity Golf Tournament at Penn Oaks in West Chester.

Guests enjoyed a VIP reception, Soiree, cigar bar event, golf, socializing and a dinner with an award ceremony.

The Foundation’s mission is to help disadvantaged young people, families and communities. Their goal is to help promote spiritual, cerebral and physical wellness.

Hall of Famer and eagles legend Brian Dawkins kicking off the young ambassadors program at George Washington high school in Northeast Philly today, Dawkins met with the members of the program and then joined an assembly presentation where he talked to all the students at the school.

The program encourages students to create change with themselves, the school, and the community at large. Doc says the program is very important for Philadelphia’s teens. we want them to understand, first of all, how significant they are because they are like they mean a whole lot. not just to me. I’m pretty sure it’s to their parents and their loved ones. School officials say they’ve seen an increase in students emotional well-being since implementing initiatives to help
